Curriculum Intent
At Willowfield Academy, our intent is to Prepare every child for Adulthood by developing the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to live with Independence and purpose.
We recognise that many of our pupils have experienced disrupted learning. Therefore, we provide pupils with a curriculum that reconnects them with success.
Curriculum Rationale
At Willowfield Academy we offer a rich curriculum which builds on the knowledge, understanding and skills of all our pupils, whatever their starting points, as they progress through each key stage.
Our curriculum is built in two phases:
• The Preparation Phase: Primary, Year 7 and Year 8
• The Progression Phase: Year 9 – Year 11
